Lithography
The lithographic technique is based on the principle that fat and water repel each other. I drew these motifs directly on a stone that weighs about 100 kg with a special fatty medium, litho pen and litho ink. Then the surface of the stone is prepared with water, acid and gum arabic to attach the image to the stone, as well as to clean the unprocessed parts. I had also etched in the stone to take out lighter areas and used many layers of colour shades. “The World Tree” was exhibited at H.M. Queen Sonja's KunstStall in 2017 at the Jubilee Exhibition and is today exhibited at the Royal Palace as part of H.M. Queen Sonja's Jubilee Collection. There are still a certain number prints of of both motifs available.
Den litografiske teknikken bygger på prinsippet om at fett og vann avstøter hverandre. Disse motiver tegnet jeg direkte på en stein som veier omtrent 100 kg med et spesielt fettholdig medium, litostift og litotusj. Deretter prepareres steinens overflate med vann, syre og gummi arabicum for å feste bildet til steinen, samt rengjøre de ubearbeidede partiene. Har også etset i steinen for å ta ut lysere partier og brukt mange lag med fargenyanser. ”Verdenstreet” ble stilt ut i Dronning Sonjas KunstStall i 2017 på Jubileumsutstillingen og er i dag stilt ut på Det Kongelige Slott som del av Dronning Sonjas Jubileumssamling. Det finnes fortsatt et visst antall eksemplarer tilgjengelige av begge motiver.
